Background
The Sustainable Sugarcane and Regenerative Energy Conference will unite stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and civil society, addressing global challenges - climate change, biodiversity loss, and food insecurity aims to present and discuss sustainable practices in the sugarcane value chain and promoting regenerative energy solutions. One of the agenda will include supporting sustainable agricultural and energy business operations will delve into approaches and strategies to promote sustainable sugarcane farming and energy practices, aligning with the country's sustainable development goals. This will further highlight the critical importance of advancing sustainable production and consumption practices to ensure food security, support sustainable energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, this event will showcase cutting-edge social and environmental innovations and discuss about sustainability standards, and sustainable procurement and ethical sourcing that can inspire businesses to adopt practices prioritizing fair labor, biodiversity and ecosystem protection, and economic viability.
